It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric L. Brown on September 10th, 2023, at the age of 58. Eric was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who brought immense joy and warmth to the lives of those around him. Born in Mississippi on July 17th, 1965 to Charles and Elizabeth Brown, he was raised in Lansing, Michigan before eventually making Arizona his home alongside his cherished family. Throughout his life's journey, Eric's unwavering commitment to love, kindness, and pursuing one's passions served as an inspiring example for all who knew him.
Eric's deep devotion as a brother to Zelda, Kenneth, and Daphne (Darron) fostered a profound sense of joy and fulfillment in their lives over the course of many years.
For three decades, Eric shared an extraordinary bond with his beloved wife Yvonne. Their marriage was a shining example of commitment and unwavering support that inspired all who knew them. Together they weathered life's storms and celebrated its joys – creating a legacy of love that will endure for generations to come.
As a devoted father to Anthony, Nicole (Jared), Joshua (Timeri), and Mercedes; Eric's heart was filled with overflowing joy for his children. He believed deeply in the importance of family traditions that brought them closer together. From annual vacations to holiday celebrations filled with laughter and joy – these cherished moments created lasting memories that will forever be treasured.
His love further extends to his grandchildren Alanna, Savannah, and Sa’Ni. He cherished every moment spent with them and created lasting memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
Eric was known for being incredibly outspoken, fearlessly expressing his thoughts and opinions. He possessed a rare ability to uplift others with his words, always finding a way to be the light in the room. His infectious laughter and radiant smile brought warmth and happiness to those around him. Above all, Eric’s heart was filled with pure intentions, always striving for the betterment of others.
Eric’s heart jammed to the rhythm of his passion. His love for drumming allowed him to touch the lives of countless individuals across the globe. Inspired by the rhythmic beat of his heart, he created profound connections with people from all walks of life. Whether he was performing on stage or sharing his gift with others in more intimate settings, Eric's drumming resonated deeply within those who had the privilege to listen. His kick drum carried emotions that words alone could not express, evoking joy, inspiration, and a sense of unity among all who witnessed it.
Above all else, Eric had a strong faith and relationship with Jesus Christ that guided him throughout his life journey. This unwavering faith provided him with strength during challenging times and served as a source of inspiration for others.
Eric’s departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. He leaves behind a legacy characterized by love, resilience, and the belief in the power of genuine connections.
